Nang umuwi si Inday sa Iligan, naisipan nyang bumili ng DVD…
Muslim lady: Pili lang, Ma’am. Fifty lang ang isa. Kung daghan imong baklon, gita-gaan ta ka discount.
Inday: Fifty-pesos? Such a dingbat you are! The other stands in this market full of grounded and unconsented DVD’s and VCD’s are marketing their unlicensed goods for only forty-pesos! And, you are telling me that these shoddy-covered cases of yours are for fifty? I know you perceive me as one who has deficiency in judgments, but to tell you, I always act and think wisely on given occasions. So, don’t you ever beguile me next time!

In Iligan, you would not find the latest original DVD’s in stores such as Astro Vision, whatnot, but in places such as the market and the ‘dibidihan’ stalls. .. Plus, how sure are you that those DVD’s are for her perusal?

To quote wikipedia, political correctness is “to describe languages, ideas, policies, etc as seeking to minimize offense to cultural, racial, or other identity groups. ” Point is, hindi naman niya ni-lambast ang babae about her being muslim.
im sorry, if I have offended someone, but the truth is, majority, if not all of the vendors selling pirated DVD’s and VCD’s here in Iligan City are muslim.
If you think that this Inday story is revolting, then, you may ask Manager to delete this entry from Inday’s blog. He/She just actually emailed me a day ago if he could publish my Inday joke on this blog. And, I relented.
I didn’t realize this would result to a can of worms.

Haha! You can’t quote Wikipedia. It is NOT a reliable source. Quoting from that site is a mortal sin in our school. You’ll have your submitted paper returned to you in no time, only to see that there’s a big, red “X” marked on the entire front page.

as if naman di bumibili ng mga pirated ang iba dyan.. anyway,, ano pa ba ang ibang depinisyon ng salitang ‘politically correct’ marabs? sa tingin ko ganun din naman ang ibig sabihin ng ‘politically correct’.
in the first place, nasa blogosphere tayo, and we are not submitting any research papers o ano man. And, ang sabi dun ni Couen,, ‘TO quote Wikipedia…” inacknowledge nya man lang yun, so that people would know kung saan niya nakalap ang information na yun…
If Google is misleading ‘us’, ‘you’, what search engine then are you using? And, are you sure, you’ve never tried using Google for your research, and all that jazz in your lifetime?
‘Deception’ is such a strong word. And, mentioning the engine ‘Google’ is even robust.

maraming ilonggo din naman sa iligan.. but usually not from iloilo,, pero sa cotabato. they also speak ‘hiligaynon’ there.
