Inday: And what is your proof Dodong? Such claims concerning gender differences are empirical and they should be evaluated by evidence. Is it because there are more male scientists or mathematicians than female ones? Do you think that this translates to men having greater cognitive aptitude for science? Or males are intrinsically better at mathematical and spatial reasoning? Or that men show greater variability than women, and as a result there are more men at the extreme upper end of the ability distribution from which scientists and mathematicians are drawn?
Inday: Tell me Dodong, what’s your evidence? Don’t you know that we are endowed with core knowledge systems that emerge prior to any formal instruction which serves as a basis for mathematical thinking and these systems equally develop in males and females? I tell you, there are no differences in intrinsic aptitude between men and women. You must consider social factors involved before stating your claim. There are social forces, including overt and covert discrimination and social influences that lead men and women to develop different skills and different priorities.

Yes I think I know your story. God created 3 women at the beginning solely because Adam was lonely and could not stand being alone. The 1st man is a he/she, then divided to have two, Adam and Lilith, but Lilith was powerful and dominant because she was technically part of the he. So it did not work for them, she was banished for being like that and left the garden. The second woman was created out from nothing, flesh and bone came to be. Adam having seen the process could not bear going near her, out of disgust maybe. She was not named and was forgotten. That was when God made Adam sleep and took a part from his rib and created Eve. When she was complete Adam saw her as perfect and took her as a wife.
That is the story not told by many.
But do we honestly believe these myths? The creation? Out of man’s rib come woman? And if ever these were true, how can this account for man being better than woman? Or vise versa?
Need we really talk about this topic? One which we can never really know. This world is one, one cannot go along without the other. The relationship might be cruel, but it is mutual. Men just need to stop being stupid and stop thinking they are better, they need to start acknowledging more their weakness and start appreciating the strength of women for it is in their fear of the potentials of women that they became like this. Poor men, and poor women too.
Poor humans. Poor us.

Haha. Thanks for backing me up. And very well said. With humor sprouts critical thinking. I’m glad there are people like you who cares enough to think, lol. Ok I’m just being pompous. And besides, this is not an ordinary humor blog, “inday” herself is smart and critical in her own rights. And I think she is more smart than funny, we laugh only because her ways are unusual, and that she is just made up, but who cares, she shows a great character. I think I’m just playing her game, not much on the humor side that is. But I think our race have been humorous enough for the longest time, it’s time we think and show how magnificent we can be, just like inday, one who is greater than the once who holds her by the neck.

This is my first time to visit this site.
I appreciate the “lecture” of Inday but I am lost as to the conclusion reached. The responses talked of various topics that may be suitable of further discussion.
The plain subject of inquiry is whether “men have higher IQ than women.”
Why not cite contrary proofs if men have lower IQ rather than beating around the bush.

The age-old battle between the sexes over brainpower may finally have a victor, with a new research revealing that men have a greater general mental ability or G than women.
At each and every level of family income, for every level of fathers’ and of mothers’ education, and for each and every one of seven ethnic groups, males had higher G scores than females, the study found.
A study of 100,000 17- to 18-year-olds on the Scholastic Assessment Test published in the September 2006 issue of the journal Intelligence, has confirmed a surprising new finding — that men have a 4- to 5-point IQ advantage over women by adulthood.
Because girls mature faster than boys, the sex difference is masked during the school years, which explains why the sex difference was missed for 100 years.
A study published in the September 2006 issue of the journal Intelligence analyzed 145 items from the Scholastic Assessment Test in 100,000 17- to 18-year-olds and found a male IQ advantage of 3.63 points.
The male-female differences were present at every socioeconomic level, and across several ethnic groups.
The average male advantage was found “throughout the entire distribution of scores, in every level of family income, for every level of fathers’ and of mothers’ education, and for each and every one of seven ethnic groups,” said J. Philippe Rushton, professor of psychology at the University of Western Ontario, one of the authors of the study.
The paper’s results dovetail with those from several other recently published studies showing that men, surprisingly, have a 4- to 5- IQ point advantage over women by late adolescence and early adulthood. Before that age the two sexes are equal in general intelligence.
As such, the findings overturn a 100-year consensus that men and women average the same in general mental ability.
Because girls mature faster than boys, the sex difference is masked during the school years.
For decades, however, psychologists have accepted that men and women differ in their test “profiles,” with males averaging higher on tests of ’spatial ability’ and females higher on tests of ‘verbal ability’.
These differences were assumed to average out.
Another set of observations concerned the sex difference found in brain size and the relation between brain size and cognitive ability.

This my first! Sorry inday pero ang dating mo sa akin ay talunan ka sa buhay na nagpa-paimpress na marunong sa pamamagitan ng humor. There is no doubt you have brains but what I want to hear (see) from you is how to get out of poverty. Give us stories about your co-indays that succeeded in life and became the boss themselves! If possible, give us detailed account of what they did so other countless poor (indays) may emulate! In humurous way of course!

I’m sorry too Joel since I don’t follow order unless it’s coming from my employers. You’re entitled to you own opinion anyway.
Besides, who says I’m destitute? Do not easily judge someone who employs as a domestic helper to be poor. They may have less money than you but they are rich in other and more important aspects of their life. Also, I’m not just a maid, but I’m also an internet celebrity.
