Men vs Women

Nag-rent ng isang van ang magbabarkada para mag out-of-town. Habang nasa biyahe biglang humirit si Ethan…

Ethan: Alam niyo ba, in the Animal Kingdom, males are more dominant than females?

Di papatalo si Rosing…

Rosing: Ok lang. Studies show that women outlive men.

May pantapat si Dodong…

Dodong: Eh diba nga, men have higher IQ than women?

Di na napigilan at nagsalita na rin si Inday…

Inday: And what is your proof Dodong? Such claims concerning gender differences are empirical and they should be evaluated by evidence. Is it because there are more male scientists or mathematicians than female ones? Do you think that this translates to men having greater cognitive aptitude for science? Or males are intrinsically better at mathematical and spatial reasoning? Or that men show greater variability than women, and as a result there are more men at the extreme upper end of the ability distribution from which scientists and mathematicians are drawn?

Inday: Tell me Dodong, what’s your evidence? Don’t you know that we are endowed with core knowledge systems that emerge prior to any formal instruction which serves as a basis for mathematical thinking and these systems equally develop in males and females? I tell you, there are no differences in intrinsic aptitude between men and women. You must consider social factors involved before stating your claim. There are social forces, including overt and covert discrimination and social influences that lead men and women to develop different skills and different priorities.

Natameme na si Dodong…

Dodong: (sinisi si Ethan) ‘Kaw kasi eh! ‘Kaw nag-pasimuno ‘lam mo namang wala tayong laban kay Inday.

Nagising si Manang sa kanyang pagkatulog…

Manang: Ang iingay niyo! ‘La pa akong tulog… palibhasa di kayo inumaga sa paghahanda ng pagkain eh!

Dodong, Ethan, Rosing at Inday: Sorry!

    Lorie Says:

Hay ambot. I think blog ni inday just rocks. Coz though she may seem high-falutin and certainly unbelievable for some, I think she offers a great escape from reality.

I was fortunate to have been part of an internship team that had its training in an NGO related to kasambahays. And you know what, I admired the young men and women there because they were striving to get an education and rise out of poverty. One of my friends there is a budding leader and I know that with the right breaks and the right vision, he will surely succeed.

I believe blogniinday is not the venue for self-help. There are so many blogs and websites out there that are better resources of that. Check http://www.surefirewealth.com; membership is free. I learned a lot from there.

Froodee.com also has gems of knowledge in between the Lindsay Lohan news; it’s all a matter of knowing where to look. Inday’s manager, please stick to your craft of entertainment. She gives me a relief from al the moneymaking crap I need to write or listen to all day-week-month long. When you need a respite, you NEED a respite.

I love this blog the way it is. I think that that’s the reason why so many businesses and websites fail: because they eventually lose focus.

Don’t lose focus, manager ni Inday! Blog funnily on!

And I don’t think that Inday’s Manager will lose ideas, at all. In this world, there are so many possibilities. And new words are being birthed every day. So if the question is, “Would Inday burn out?” Then maybe she should try getting a job in and messing the lives of the sheiks in oil-rich countries! Or maybe as a chambermaid for some ambassador in France… Annoying the hell out of some unscrupulous Butler!

Inday’s Manager, you rock! You really have one helluva concept going here. Wish I could do the same, but I don’t think I’m THAT funny, heheh. :p

    @ Lorie:

You obviously dont know anything about blogging… =)

No matter… like what I said, I applaude the concept behind this blog, although, unlike you, I care about the longevity of this concept, rather than just passing it as a “source” of entertainment….

If you’ve been blogging/writing long enough, you would know that “burn-out” (as what you call it) comes to each and everyone of us…

Although I understand what you’re saying, I am unsure as to whether you care enough to understand the entire point of what I was conveying…

Oh well, save me from vexations of the hoi polloi… =)

    Cheers and Happy New Year!

ability distribution has something to do with multiple intelligences…how adept u are in spatial recognition, abstract reasoning, verbal skills..etc…

whatever kind of distinctive humor do men even have they are very boastful and also i have something to confront to men anyway:THEY ARE THE ONES WHO ALMOST ALWAYS DO CRIME AROUND THE WORLD THAT’S WHY MEN HAVE LOWER IQ THAN WOMEN CAUSE THEY CAN’T DO SOMETHING IN THEIR LIVES FOR PETE’S SAKE!

Ay, natameme si Dodong! So priceless!

I totally agree with you, Inday. Let me cite two examples of girls kicking butt:

    “Charmed”: Piper, Prue, Paige, Phoebe

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”: Buffy, Willow
