MISIS: Inday!

Inday with a monotonous voice.

INDAY: You hollered?

MISIS: Isulat mo ‘tong mga sasabihin ko at marami-rami tayong kainan na pupuntahan.

INDAY: So what else is new?

MISIS: ‘Yung salu-salo ni Junior, ang toka natin spaghetti. Sa Christmas party ng kumpanya ng asawa ko, kelangan maghanda ng puto bumbong, bibingka’t castañas. Sa Christmas party ng kumpanya ko naman, pandesal at tsokolate ang request ng mga Amerikano kong boss. Sa Noche Buena natin, syempre hamon, lechon, at arroz caldo. Kinabukasan, kare kare tapos i-paksiw natin ung lechong tira sa Noche Buena. Kailangan na rin ilabas dito ang matatamis kaya maghanda na tayo ng mga sampung llanera ng leche flan at magbake tayo ng limang dosenang brownies at cookies. Kuha mo?

INDAY: Yes ma’am.

INDAY: It seems to me that we will feast like there is no tomorrow so I want to spare you from the embarrassment of impatso. I suggest that we bring with us a healthy supply of relief in form of this over the counter remedy called motilium with us such that we do not get indigestion, excessive burping, heaviness in the stomach, or stomach pains, collectively known as dyspepsia. You wouldn’t want to get embarrassed again like what happened to you last time would you?

MISIS: Oo nga! Sige kahit buong drugstore pa dalhin mo.

INDAY: And if I may, don’t you think what we’re preparing is a bit lavish for a family of three and a lowly maid?

MISIS: Oo nga ano. Sige dalawahin na natin yung lechon.
