May PSP na si Junior

Abalang-abala si Junior sa pagpipindot sa kanyang PSP. Si Inday ay nakaupo sa kabilang silya at naglalaro din ng PSP nya.
Inday: First, I’m gonna start with a double rapier, quickly followed by uppercut stabs, then a thrust followed by a snapkick leading to my rolling knees…
Junior: Daya!!! Di na ako nakasuntok ah!!
Inday: Closing in… for the Inverted Crucifix… for the win!!! (tumayo at nagsayaw-sayaw si Inday) Who’s your Nanny!!
Junior: Ba’t ganun di ako makagalaw! Dinaya mo naman ako eh…
Inday: Oh shush! Learn how to parry next time.
- Naglalaro sila Inday ng Tekken via wifi gamit ang PSP nila. Nabigyan na rin si Junior ng PSP nung nakaraang Pasko at lagi nyang niyayaya si Inday makipaglaro sa kanya.

I applaud Inday for her Tekken skills, however she may be using some terms incorrectly.
A block is different from a parry. A block is a simple defensive maneuver where one’s character is protected from attacks, save from grapples or grabs. A parry however, is a more complicated counter-attack, where one blocks or attacks at the exact point when an enemy’s attack connects causing the opponent to freeze.
I doubt Junior may be able to learn to parry that quickly, and judging from the context of Inday’s story, I believe she meant to use the term “block” instead of parry.

I think Inday is right by using parry because Junior’s problem was that he never had a chance to set an attack because of Inday’s continuous, almost simultaneous,attacks, where Junior needed to counter-attack as a response and not just block..
