Amo: Naku Inday!!! Nasusunog na ang kusina naten!! Naku anong gagawin natin??!
Daliang pumasok si Inday sa kusina…
Inday: Madam, how on earth can you manage to burn a pot of broth?
Inday: That won’t be effective in a blaze such as this you’ve created!
Inday: One needs to understand how a fire works. As my mother told me plenty of times, any combustion-reaction requires a primary oxidant in order to work.
Amo: Ano ba Inday!!!
Amo: Ano bang ginagawa mo Inday?!
Inday: Just calm down madam! Panicking won’t help. I’m creating an acid-base reaction here to produce carbon dioxide. (Hinalo ang suka sa bote na may lamang baking soda) You see, the carbon dioxide gas that will be produced by this reaction has a higher molecular weight than does the surrounding air, which is comprised primarily of nitrogen and oxygen. This means that that carbon dioxide will sink into the bottom of the surface.
Inday: As you can see, the bubbly liquid that shoots out from this bottle is comprised of carbon dioxide gas. As more of this is produced, it will slowly displace the oxygen and this will effectively kill the flames due to lack of available oxygen.
Amo: You’re amazing Inday!

January 8th, 2008 at 7:17 am
Mabuti na lang at may available Coke, este, baking soda.
January 8th, 2008 at 8:12 am
Hi! inday youre a such a witty girl talaga grabe!!!! saludo ako sau, lahat alam mo….speachless ako sau….
January 8th, 2008 at 8:34 am
INDAY in 2010! Agree kayo? Only Inday can bridge the gap between the jologs and the elite. Imagine, a chimay as president, why not!
January 8th, 2008 at 11:07 am
e bakit nde n lng ung coke ang kinalog mo, e may carbon dioxide din un? haha..
January 8th, 2008 at 11:34 am
Aba aba, tinuro sa amin yan nung 3rd year high school!
January 8th, 2008 at 11:44 am
January 8th, 2008 at 12:40 pm
kahawod jud ni inday oi.
January 8th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
January 8th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
January 8th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
iBANG KLASE k taLGA INDAY TO TEH NEXT LEVEL KANA ! HEHEHEHEHE!

….ang taray!….
January 8th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
January 8th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
January 8th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
ironic talaga!
January 8th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
Oye. Combustion reactions. I just remembered my Advanced Chemistry and Practical Chemistry.
Oh my Inday! You’re such a Genius! XD
January 8th, 2008 at 10:03 pm
oh…stupid inday…if she needed a carbon dioxide gas she could have gotten it from the coke(carbon dioxide charged water). duh.!
January 8th, 2008 at 11:23 pm
oh jabershi, you’re the one who’s gaumless. if you were there, you can easily deduce that the remaining content of the bottle cannot provide the adequate sodium bicarbonate required to douse the flames.
January 9th, 2008 at 8:36 am
tagapagligtas ka na rin ng naaapoy
hail inday!

January 12th, 2008 at 11:24 am
hala yah nga inday!
January 12th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
e emergency naman kasi un e…
January 13th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
actually napakaimpractical ng ginawa ni inday eh. astaka bad use of simple chemistry.
sa ganyang emergency, hindi mo na iisipin maghagilap ng baking soda at suka. it’s true, most kitchen fires will be made worse by dousing it with water, so out of the question yung water. sa mga ganung situation, you’d be better off pouring the powder baking soda to smother the fire.
link
nakakainis lang kasi magkakabad-conception yung mga tao. baka isipin nila eto ang best thing to do in the event of a fire.
ps:
pouring salt over the fire will work too
January 16th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
may bago akong natutuhan. makapag-stock nga ng baking soda.
January 18th, 2008 at 9:48 am
nakakatuwa naman ang mga reaction dito. ciempre there are simpler and effective ways to extinguish fire but what the posted article would like to show is the use of difficult words which will make it appear ‘intelligent’. After all, this is what we have been hearing, reading, forwarding, and enjoying about Inday stories.
January 19th, 2008 at 5:25 am
hahahaha….
drama nyo naman lahat…lol
btw…natawa ako sa mga reaction nyo…
hahahhahahaha
January 21st, 2008 at 8:29 pm
January 22nd, 2008 at 2:04 am
amazing!! akalain mong nakagawa pa sya ng makeshift na fire extinguisher in a short period of time..wahahahaha iba ka talaga inday!!
January 24th, 2008 at 12:45 am
May pagka-McGyver pa pala tong c Inday!
Panalo talaga to si Inday! =)
February 12th, 2008 at 3:33 am
serious @ one of the audience… goodluck!!!
February 14th, 2008 at 5:24 pm
February 27th, 2008 at 10:33 am
May 15th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
Ang talino mo talaga inday!!!
July 18th, 2008 at 5:24 pm
