Blog ni Inday!

Habang nagluluto si Misis ng ulam, biglang lumihab ang stove. Sinubukang hipan ni ma’am ang apoy ngunit parang lalo pang lumalakas ito. Lalong lumaki ang apoy at di na maiwasang magpanic si ma’am.

Amo: Naku Inday!!! Nasusunog na ang kusina naten!! Naku anong gagawin natin??!

Daliang pumasok si Inday sa kusina…

Inday: Madam, how on earth can you manage to burn a pot of broth?

Amo: Ay naku Inday wala na tayong oras sa ganyan. Buhusan mo ng tubig!!

Inday: That won’t be effective in a blaze such as this you’ve created!

Biglang kinuha ni Inday ang bote ng Coke 1.5 at tinapon ang tirang laman sa lababo tilang di nagpapanic…

Amo: Ano ba Inday!!! Tumawag ka na ng bumbero…naku ang mga gamit naten!! Ano ba number sa bumbero? (sobrang panic na si misis)

Nilagyan ni Inday ang bote ng Coke ng baking soda… at daliang kinuha ang bote ng suka.

Amo: Ano bang ginagawa mo Inday?! Tulungan mo na lang akong hakutin ang mga gamit naten!! Tama na yan!!

Inday: Just calm down madam! Panicking won’t help. I’m creating an acid-base reaction here to produce carbon dioxide. (Hinalo ang suka sa bote na may lamang baking soda) You see, the carbon dioxide gas that will be produced by this reaction has a higher molecular weight than does the surrounding air, which is comprised primarily of nitrogen and oxygen. This means that that carbon dioxide will sink into the bottom of the surface.

Kinalog ni Inday ang bote at itinapat sa nasusunog na stove… namangha si misis sa nangyayari…

Di nagtagal at napatay na rin ang sunog dahil sa makeshift fire extinguisher ni Inday. Tulala ang amo nya sa nasaksihan.
