Natandaan niyo pa ba ang napanalunang kalahating milyon ni Inday sa Deal or No Deal?
After buying things for her own and her family, she donated the rest to an elementary school in the province. The principal of the school recently wrote a letter to thank her for her generosity.
Dear Inday:
Thank you very much for your contribution to Marupok Elementary School. Your gift of 44 Intel Core 2 Duo computers (Windows Vista Ultimate included) with Flat Screen LCD monitors have been added to our expanding computer laboratory. We are grateful for your donation because it can be used by all of our students to enhance their developing computer skills.
Your generosity will make an immediate difference in the lives of many students here at Marupok Elementary School.
With the recent financial hardships of our educational system, gifts such as yours are very much appreciated. Your computers will help provide many children with skills they will need in the future.
Your thoughts toward education are uplifting.

ala… mali namn ung binili nung school… masydong pangit ung OS at mukhang di namn magagamit ng efficiently ung power nung computer…. nagsayang lng sila ng pera… dapat amd sempron lng or intel 1.7… at dapat ung OS is windows XP… masyadong buggy ang Windows Vista… mabibilib sna ako kung mga mac computers ang binili… kse for graphics at magagamit ng mabuti at unique ung learning… kse rare lng ituro ang mac OS sa philippines….

Next time you better donate OLPC laptops. They’re a lot cheaper and definitely better for starters.
Anyway, Inday is not only classy but also very good in bargaining to be able to buy 44 Vista Ultimate computers for just half a million pesos.

Tsk tsk tsk. Core 2 duo? Windows Vista? What a waste. You would be able to help more kids when you get Asus Eee PC. I’m no fan of the Eee PC, but they are considered entry level laptops. For educational purposes, I think those are more than enough (if only Eee PC runs on Windows XP, I’ll be getting one myself.)

whatever! cguro 5 unit lang binili ng principal, may corruption nangyayari dyan…..sa mahal din ng mga units na pinangalanan eh! kakasya ba yun? and besides sa manila lang available yan, tapos payment pa sa freight, magkano na ang natira?

@andoyman: Do a research dude. Core Duo means it’s an Intel processor with 2 cores. Core “2″ Duo mean it’s an Intel processor with 2 “version 2″ cores (I just named it version 2, it just mean that it is using a newer technology, more efficient than the normal Core Duo”
If AMD is much cheaper (like those Athlons against P4), then I’ll go with AMD. But that is not the case anymore. You can get a brand new Core 2 Duo BRANDED laptop at just around 40k. Plus, Intel powered laptops have high resale value. So in terms of laptop, Intel still owes.

Aw, you just wasted your time bargaining for the 44 Intel Core 2 Duo computers with Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate. You should have both AMD CPU’s instead and we’ll there are alot of Linux Distro’s out there for free. Fedora Core, Ubuntu, and so on. Not to forget too, that we have our very own Linux Distro here. It’s Bayanihan Linux, which you can free download from http://www.bayanihan.gov.ph or go to DOST to get for a nominal fee.
By the way, is your Vista Ultimate licensed?

Anu b naman tong gumawa ng blog n to! Dapat gamitin mo si inday para magsalita ng sariling wika natin… hindi kamot nkakapagenglish n yan eh ibig savhn matalino na… Kaya hindi naunlad pilipinas mascyadong tinatangkilik ang produkto ng ibang bansa, ayaw gumawa ng sariling atin… Hipokrito ang gumawa ng blog n to, mas lalo mo lang pinapababa ang moral ng pilipino…

May advantage at disadvantage tlga ang blogniinday
Para sa akin opinion lng:
Advantage:Pra sa mga balak mag abroad magandang magabasa ng blogniinday,ksi maeenhance ang english nyo.One of the reason kya popular ang filipino in abroad coz of communication.only in the philippines were you can find that even in elementary grade there is already english subject,ooh sorry even in nursery grade also.jan angat ang pinoy sa ibang lahi.
Disadvantage:Nakaklimutan natin tayoy pinoy at masarap maging pinoy at magsalita ng tagalog.

Do not run amok saying that her proficiency towards the English language consequently proves to be detrimental to the National language and even to the morale of the Filipino countrymen because you do not have any empirical evidences to actually buffer your claim. On the contrary, it has already been achieving its predetermined objective plus even more benefits since I, for one, feel this subtle tug of confidence in our Motherland, knowing that there still are Filipinos to the likes of Inday that are able proliferate the English fervor in sheer perfection without compromising their primordial, socio-cultural background as how Inday does it. err .. Don’t hate the person who made this blog .. Hindi naman porke’t gumawa ka ng isang talaarawan sa Computer mo ay ibig sabihin nun ay hindi mo na tinatangkilik ang sariling atin .. ako bilang isang mag-aaral kahit marunong ako mag ingles at sabi rin nila ay malupet din daw ako magsalita ng ingles ay di ko pa rin kinakalimutan ang sariling atin at masaya ako sa pagiging Filipino ko! nawiwiwindang lang ata ako at marami ang nagrereklamo .. Opinyon ko lang yan at partida nag Tagalog na ko:)

..kita mo nga.. Inday: ang sosyal na katulong.. pano ija-justify nung may gawa nito na sosyal na katulong si Inday kung hindi maarok na tagalog gagamitin niyang mga salita ni Inday..

remember, even our national hero spoke different languages during his life as a FILIPINO. Di naman porket nag-eenglish ka e di ka na makabayan. Rizal died for our country, he spoke english and he still is FILIPINO.
