At last, master has finally decided to procure a DSL subscription due to my insistent prodding that Junior requires it for his Color-by-Numbers homework.
After our free Pentium 4 PC has been delivered and the DSL connected, I convinced master that the initial machine configuration just won’t suffice Junior’s needs. So I have it upgraded to:
- Intel Core 2 Quad 6850 Extreme processor
- 2 sticks of 2GB DDR2 Corsairs at 1200MHz
- 750GB Western Digital Caviar SE HardDisk
- BLU-RAY DVD Writer
- nVidia GeForce 8800 Ultra 768MB PCI-E graphics card.
Oh, I also recommended using Extreme Blizzard Liquid Chilled Cooling System for the machine to run properly.
Finally, I can now have my own blog and share my stories to the cyberworld. Actually, I just told master that I’m just going to check Dodong’s friendster.

Ano ba namang PC upgrade yan. Hindi ba naman binago yung board. Pentium 4 PC to Inter Core2 ? Correct mo nga.

alam daw ni inday yun, hindi naman kasi talaga compatible pentium 4 mobo sa core2duo. di nya lang binanggit kasi nothing special daw yung motherboard.

Hey Inday, what’s your OS?
If you can’t afford a Mac, I recommend you use Linux as your OS of choice. It’s much stable than Windows and it cannot be invaded by viruses. Trust me!

This desktop is not mine but my master’s. However, I made a dual boot out of this system using Windows XP and Ubuntu.
